Call Center Representative I

Position Objective

Provides technical, software, hardware, and network solutions to all computer users by performing question/problem diagnosis, and guides users through step-by-step solutions in a call center environment by performing the following duties.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Answers inbound calls and provides resolution to questions and concerns in a timely and professional manner.
  • Directs callers to appropriate department or personnel based on needs.
  • Educates clients regarding the benefits of products and services and cross-sells said products and services.
  • Answers questions and concerns completely during initial call.
  • Demonstrates the ability to fully explain products and services to clients and staff.
  • Responds to and logs requests for technical assistance in person, via phone, and electronically.
  • Diagnoses and resolves basic technical hardware and software issues.
  • Performs basic troubleshooting for ID/PRN locations.
  • Performs diagnostics on darh sites and determines next action.
  • Technicians are responsible for setting up their own telco tech dispatches after approval is given.
  • Technicians are responsible for making sure all paper work is handed in e.g. time audits, work orders, equipment requests.
  • Redirects unanswered problems to appropriate resource.
  • Identifies and escalates situations requiring urgent attention.
  • Tracks and routes problems and requests, and documents resolutions.
  • Stays current with system information, changes, and updates.

Education/Experience:

Field Service Technician

Position Objective

The field service technician will run service calls (i.e. printers, PCs, etc.) in the Syracuse, NY, area.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Able to troubleshoot devices quickly and accurately
  • Ability to identify and research possible causes of problems encountered to reduce future failures as well as recommend solutions.
  • Efficiently repair or replace devices on-site.
  • Ability to use manuals, technical reference materials and technical support facilities to implement a repair.
  • Able to document failures to provide analysis of problems, cause and repair.
  • Perform preventative maintenance.

Qualifications:

  • Possess a Technical School Diploma or equivalent, Associates in Electronics or Microsoft certification or Computer science Degree.
  • Possess at least 1 to 2 years experience as a service technician.
  • A-plus certification, knowledge of computer repair.
  • Be able to manage a service area as well as their inventories.
  • Must have organizational, technical and people skills.
  • Must be able to troubleshoot hardware problems and resolve customer requests for service.
  • Ability to deal with customers in a positive manner.
  • Able to maintain a friendly and professional attitude when dealing with any customer issues either by phone or while onsite.

Special Working Conditions:

  • May have extensive traveling, over 50 miles to a call
  • Technicians will be on call 24/7
  • Should be able to lift a minimum of 50 lbs.

Web Designer

Position Responsibilities:

  • Position requires a hybrid designer with both artistic and technical skills.
  • Produce professional and effective web graphics, navigational systems, and dynamic HTML with consistency in look and feel.
  • Ability to turn client requests into visual concepts.
  • Introduce innovative site design with measurable results ( increase site productivity, traffic to specific/desired areas, positive user experiences and business results.)
  • Web development work includes regular site updates, usability reviews, promotion and graphic development, traffic reporting and design/layout maintenance.
  • Design and produce online marketing campaigns efforts (e.g. newsletters, banners etc).
  • Create and maintain good relationships with clients.

Qualifications:

  • Web design experience (HTML, CSS, JavaScript).

Programmer / Analyst

Position Responsibilities:

  • Writes new medium sized program/objects of medium complexity from detailed specifications.
  • Provides on-call support and problem resolution for simple to moderate system problems. At times is required to cover varying shifts.
  • Provides estimates for projects.
  • Writes detailed program specifications for small, straight-forward programs/objects either for use by the incumbent or by other team members.
  • Maintains and modifies routine programs; makes approved changes by amending flow diagrams, developing detailed programming logic, and coding changes adhering to established guidelines and standards.
  • Maintains proficiency in the technologies used by the team to support assigned software applications.
  • Evaluates simple interrelationships between programs, e.g.; whether a contemplated change in one part of a program would cause unwanted results in a related part.
  • Develops program and system documentation according to established standards.
  • Demonstrates excellent interpersonal skills and promotes, maintains, and encourages a close working relationship and a team effort with all members of IT and business partners.

Overview:

Administrative Assistant for a small but fast paced office environment. Looking for a self-starter who is capable of functioning in a broad range of administrative support functions. Individual must have strong communication, organization and computer skills. Responsibilities will include telephone support, and internet research. Proficiency in Word, Excel and QuickBooks a must.

Position Responsibilities:
